A man from Bayside, New York pleaded guilty to threatening Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel after she posted a photo of herself and a murdered friend online, federal authorities announced. Kevin Delgado, 40, admitted he made the threats because of Nessel's religion and perceived sexual orientation, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Detroit sent Monday, May 20 — Nessel is Jewish and gay.

Marshella Chidester, 67, was sentenced for the deaths of two young siblings after she crashed her SUV into Newport's Swan Boat Club. Prosecutors have showed evidence of Chidester drinking just before. Chidester listened as the parents of the children killed, Zayn and Alanah Phillips, gave emotional victim impact statements. 38th Circuit Court Judge Daniel White said the case might be the worst tragedy that courtroom has seen before gave Chidester her prison sentence.
