    The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and the Town of Kingsville are distributing Potassium Iodide (KI) pills to residents living in the secondary zone. The area is 80 kilometres from Enrico Fermi 2 Nuclear Generating Station. This initiative is to ensure our community is prepared in the unlikely event of a nuclear emergency. All Kingsville residents are encouraged to pick up a package of KI pills. If you had previously obtained these pills, they are past their expiration date.

    Windsor police have arrested a 36-year-old man related to two jewellery store robberies at Tecumseh Mall. Police say a suspect wearing a face covering entered a jewellery store inside the shopping mall in the 7600 block of Tecumseh Road East on April 4. The suspect allegedly used a tool to smash a glass display case and made off with approximately $50,000 worth of jewellery.

    A Windsor man who purchased a scratch lottery ticket in Sudbury won the $100,000 top prize. Curtis Clark won with an Instant Gift Pack ticket. Instant Gift Pack was available for $20 a play and the top prize is $100,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 1.00. The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Lasalle Boulevard in Sudbury.
