1. IntroductionMarine oils have valuable applications as a result of their high presence of n-3 LCPUFAs, such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA; 20:5n-3) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA; 22:6n-3). Consequently, the consumption of such oils is associated with a lower prevalence of different kinds of diseases (i.e., cardiac, circulatory, etc.) [1].
