    To The Trail Staff and University Community, We are writing in response to the November 8, 2024 article “University Investigates AllegedMishandling of University Torah” by Veronica Brinkley. The piece includes many factual errors,starting with the title, which implies there was an open investigation when this article waspublished. This is incorrect. A complaint was lodged with the Office of Equal Opportunity, but noevidence of wrongdoing was found on the part of faculty or staff.

    There’s this girl in the library, she smiles at me just about every time I walk past the front desk. She’s pretty cute, but I’m too scared to ask for her number. Not to mention she’s on the clock, I don’t wanna be unprofessional. I worry that I also might not even be ready for a relationship, I’ve never even been in one.

    By Andrew Benoit  Former President Donald Trump has been elected the 47th president of the United States, decisively defeating Vice President Kamala Harris by carrying most battleground states including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia. Harris, who conceded to Trump on Wednesday, consistently underperformed compared to Joe Biden’s 2020 electoral victory.

    By Grace Farrell  On the weekend of Oct. 18–20, the University of Puget Sound hosted the 40th National Conference on Peer Tutoring and Writing (NCPTW). The annual conference aims to respond to the challenges associated with operating college writing centers and further developing peer tutoring programs across the country.   This year, the largest NCPTW event following the COVID-19 pandemic was held in Tacoma. Attendees included 148 peer tutors from 28 states and two countries–the US and Canada.
