    1 Introduction Despite mental health services reform and the introduction of various preventative strategies, aggression remains a ubiquitous problem in mental health services (Parakkal Kurian et al. 2023). While all staff play a role in the prevention and management of aggression, mental health nurses' role is significant (Maguire et al. 2023) and they are more commonly exposed to aggression, in various forms (e.g., verbal and physical), than other staff.

    Upson-Lee High School wrestling standout Damari Kenan is scheduled to put pen to paper and sign to a college on April 18 in the ULHS Media Center. Kenan has been a stalwart member of both the wrestling and football teams during his career at ULHS. Affectionately known as “The Stump,” he has been a key piece of the U-L defensive line for the past two seasons. He also has been a focal point of the ULHS wrestling team in the 215-pound weight class.

    Thomaston and Upson County were well represented at the Doc Holliday Shootout Pickleball Tournament in Griffin April 4-5 at Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park. Bruce Dunaway and Austin Bailey led the way for Upson with the pair scoring gold in the 4.5 level men’s doubles. Dunaway and Bailey compete at the level just shy of the professional level. Randy Oglesbee and Frank Steger won gold at the 3.5 level, men’s doubles, 70-plus division.

    The Upson-Lee Middle School golf program officially moved its final match of the season to Calloway Gardens. No longer practicing at the local golf course, ULMS moved practices behind the school in the grass football field between the school and civic center. The final match of the season for ULMS golf is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at Callaway Gardens against Harris County.

    Upson-Lee broke into the region win column this week in convincing fashion as the Knights swept the Fayette County Tigers in two games. U-L bested the Tigers 6-2 on Thursday in Fayetteville and run-ruled the Tigers 13-3 in six innings on Friday at Silvertown. Both games featured a common theme for this season for U-L - hot starts. The Knights scored three runs in the first inning on Thursday, and 10 runs in the first on Friday.
