The most expensive streets in Blyth over the last five years have been revealed. Professional fast sales company Property Solvers tracked average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2020 to see where the highest priced homes are located across the Blyth postcodes. Residents and stakeholders are being invited to find out how the build of Berwick’s new hospital is progressing. Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is investing £35million to build the state-of-the-art Berwick Community Hospital. The Well Close Medical Group GP practice will be located within the building. An update drop-in session is to be held on Thursday, June 26, between 10am and 2pm, at Berwick Town Hall.

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has teamed up with Children North East to reduce the unfairness and barriers to healthcare for those living in poverty. Through its Poverty Proofing programme, the charity has carried out audits of two key services for young people – speech and language therapy and CAMHS (children and adolescent mental health services). The trust’s maternity service is also working with the charity through a North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board project.

Ponteland Anti-Litter Squad (PALS) was established as a voluntary community association in April 2024 with the three aims of clearing litter, educational outreach on the impact of littering and carrying out environmental improvement works. And the association has revealed this week that during its first 12 months, PALS has grown to 41 members.
