    Kalle Rovanpera reignited his quest for a third FIA World Rally Championship title by claiming a dominant and near-perfect victory at Rally Islas Canarias on Sunday. The 24-year-old Finn (above), who headed into the WRC’s fourth round 57 points adrift of the championship lead after a relatively slow start to his 2025 campaign, cut that deficit to 43 after a commanding start-to-finish performance vaulted him and co-driver Jonne Halttunen from sixth to second in the standings.

    The opening race of the Pirelli GT4 America season was a precarious affair, as the field got their elbows out from the get-go. The opening half of the race took place under full course yellow following an incident on the opening lap involving multiple cars, which left debris on track that needed to be addressed. On the restart, there was another collision involving numerous drivers, including overall pole sitters Marco Polo Motorsports, and the full course caution emerged again.

    Gastón Irazú rebounded from a grid penalty to earn his first-career Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) victory in his series debut during the season-opening race at NOLA Motorsports Park. After setting the second-quickest time in qualifying, Irazú (No. 42 Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) rolled off seventh for the first race of the year after receiving a grid penalty for a tire infraction during official practice.
