(WSAV) – Monday, Hilton Head Island’s annual ceremony drew dozens of veterans and hundreds of people who showed their respect for those who fought. “We honor those today that gave the ultimate love. RIDGELAND, S.C. (WSAV) — Fighting the battle off the battlefield. A Lowcountry charitable organization is doing just that every day, helping veterans deal with life away from combat. OPFOB hopes they can bring light to a critical issue by keeping the fire burning. “It’s their way of giving back and raising awareness and spreading the word about, on average, the 22 to 44 veterans a day that we’re losing to suicide,” said JR Brown, Founder of OPFOB.
