NewsRain is back in the forecast for the weekend, but there will be some dry time too. Yes, raindrops are back in the forecast for the weekend, but there will be some dry time too. Before we head into the weekend, showers and possibly a thunderstorm will be scattered across the area, lasting into the early evening. Any thunderstorm could produce heavy rainfall. Showers will be spotty through the early evening before tapering off.

NewsShower and thunderstorms return to end the week but remain for parts of the weekend too. Showers and thunderstorm chances return Thursday and Friday, and the next 7 days will feature more chances for raindrops than dry weather. The threat of thunderstorms will be around Thursday afternoon and evening, and any thunderstorm can be strong with gusty winds, small hail, and brief tropical downpours are all possible. Thursday will be warm and muggy too, with high temperatures in the low 80s.

NewsMore active weather is on the docket for the end of the week and part of the weekend. After a dry Wednesday, the end of the week is expected to be active with showers and thunderstorms. Wednesday will be our warmest day of 2025 and the warmest day since September 21, 2024, as high temperatures creep into the upper 80s. Our high temperature for today's date will be warm, but nowhere near the record of 98 degrees that occurred in 1934.

NewsThe heat is on Wednesday, but rain will return for the end of the week. Get those pools and AC units ready, they'll be needed over the next couple of days. High temperatures will finally return to the low 80s on Tuesday afternoon, but a sunny sky will be diluted by wildfire smoke coming from Central Canada. Local air quality is expected to remain at "moderate" levels through Wednesday, with no significant reduction anticipated.

NewsWildfire smoke will add some haze to our sky this week as high temperatures climb back to the 70s and 80s. Finally, a stretch of days featuring consistent warmth, but this stretch won't be without rain, though. Meteorological Summer began on June 1, and it will feel like it over the next 7 days. As wildfires continue to spread in central Canada, wildfire smoke will likely spread across the Dakotas and Midwest, adding a tint of haze to our sky on Tuesday and Wednesday.
