WFMJ-TV is a television station affiliated with NBC, catering to the Mahoning Valley region in Northeastern Ohio and Northwestern Pennsylvania. Based in Youngstown, Ohio, it transmits a high-definition digital signal on UHF channel 20, which is recognized as virtual channel 21.1 through PSIP. The station is owned by the Maag family, who also publish the daily newspaper, The Vindicator, in Youngstown. WFMJ-TV operates its studios on West Boardman Street in downtown Youngstown and is the leading station in the area. It features coverage of select away football games for Youngstown State University, as well as the Penguin Gameday sports highlight show and coaching programs for both football and basketball.
