The Europa League last sixteen first leg with AS Roma has come too soon for Athletic Club star Alvaro Djaló. The forward is still in recovery after sustaining a sprained ankle against Real Betis. This came only days after suffering an injury to the same ankle in January’s match with Besiktas. Djaló initially injured his LCL in Istanbul on the 22nd of January. He then took further damage to his LCL as well as his MCL in Sevilla just over a week later on the 3rd of February.

On a cool October night in 2018, Larry Arroyo was leading a tour at the Old Joliet Prison in the southwest suburbs. Arroyo has been a tour guide around Chicago for years, but this was his first time leading a group at Joliet. An eerie energy filled the air. Curious City listener Diane Judge thinks a lot about what she throws away. The longtime Ravenswood resident composts what she can, recycles what she can and consigns to the garbage bin only what she has to. Because of that, she makes a trip to her alley to toss her garbage in the city-issued bin less often than most. But when she does, she sometimes runs into a Chicago Streets and Sanitation collection crew making their rounds. That got her curious about the people who pick up her trash.

Earlier today, LaSheena Weekly, mother of the slain artist known as FBG Duck, filed a lawsuit naming major players in Chicago’s rap scene. The suit alleges that superstar Lil Durk, his late protege King Von and a handful of high-profile record labels “monetized the killing of FBG Duck” in August 2020. In today’s newsletter, we’re taking a look at this explosive lawsuit.
