Here, we present and discuss a spatiotemporal framework that could be used to distil population genomic variation into thematic layers of genomic susceptibility that are relevant to conservation. In this brief opinion paper, we prescribe no specific methodological approach as to how this should occur but rather provide a conceptual overview of why we think it could be useful.
