The Coachella Valley Firebirds were one of the youngest teams in the American Hockey League during the 2024-25 season, with an average age of 23.8 years old among players on the ice in the final game of the season. You may have heard it already, but the Firebirds will almost certainly be even younger in 2025-26.

Something really cool at @coachella today was Weezer performing a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman. The crowd loved it. Unfortunately, as a reporter covering the event, I’m prohibited from posting the video. But surely you can find one online.

Remember that discussion about how many NBA players could lead a 16-seed to an NCAA national title? And how current and former NBA players said the number is high? Well, Cooper Flagg, who will instantly be great in the NBA, couldn’t lead Duke to a title. It’s not easy, guys.
