(WHP) — Two people were shot in the downtown Harrisburg area this past weekend just two months after the city told businesses they would no longer be allowed to hire off-duty police officers to patrol the downtown area. One person was shot at 2:15a.m. on Saturday on Second Street and another at 2:45a.m. on Sunday near Cranberry Street. “A lot, again, a lot of the violence and turbulence is created in downtown area due to a number of things,” Mike Hay said, a Harrisburg local.

    LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — For the last nine Mondays a group in Lebanon County has protested Rep. Dan Meuser (R) and his support of the Trump Administration. Their goal: to get Meuser to sit down with them for a town hall discussion. “This is part of the job of a congressman, right they meet with their constituents,” said protest organizer Michael Schroeder. The group claims Meuser’s office has pushed their messages aside, claiming the group was a paid group of protestors from New Jersey.

    CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A popular pharmacy chain that was once headquartered in Camp Hill could be shutting down quite soon. Rite Aid, which was founded in Scranton, held their headquarters in Camp Hill until July of 2022. Now, the company is in the midst of filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy which could lead to hundreds of pharmacy shutdowns across the country. "It’s been a long standing problem," said local shopper Cookie Grugan.

    YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — There’s been a flip-flop on seasonal outdoor dining in York. After initially saying there won’t be tables allowed on North George Street this year, the city is making changes to allow it to happen. Restaurants and businesses on the 100 block of North George Street will now have tables access into the street, out to what formerly was a parking area. In years past, the street closed twice a month for businesses to open more dining areas.

Her brothers and cousins were wrestlers at Gettysburg in the past, but Zoey has had the most success in her family, winning the last two PIAA State Championships in the first two years that girls wrestling was sanctioned as a PIAA sport. “Well, when I first started wrestling, I didn’t really have any goals.
