A person was found dead after being struck by a Metrolink train near Mission Road in Boyle Heights on Thursday morning, officials said. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call shortly after 9:30 a.m. and found a body near 742 Mission Road, by a westbound Metrolink train, according to Scott Johnson, communications director at Metrolink. An alert by LAFD said paramedics were dispatched to two locations before locating the victim’s body.
