GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators softball team will host an NCAA Regional for the 19th time at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The team found out their placement as the national No. 3 seed during tonight’s selection show on ESPN2. Joining Florida in the Gainesville Regional will be Florida Atlantic (44-10), Mercer (38-24) and Georgia Tech (27-21). The double-elimination regional starts Friday, May 16 through Sunday, May 18. Florida’s first game of the regional is set for Friday at 4:30 p.m. vs.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kaitlyn Davies connected on the game-winning goal in double overtime to propel No. 4 Florida (19-2, 5-0 Big 12) into the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals, as they took down No. 10 Stanford (15-6, 7-2 ACC) by a score of 13-12 on Sunday afternoon. The goal happened after Gianna Monaco’s free-position shot with 1:44 left in double overtime was fired wide, which was scooped by Frannie Hahn.

UF improves to 7-0 all-time in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, as the team used an 8-0 run in the second quarter to turn a 3-2 lead into a 12-2 lead and 12-3 advantage at halftime.

ATHENS, Ga. – The Southeastern Conference announced Thursday morning that Kendra Falby, Reagan Walsh and Taylor Shumaker have been named First Team All-SEC and Mia Williams has been named to the All-SEC Second Team, as voted on by the league’s coaches. Falby also picked up an All-Defensive Team selection for the second year in a row. The All-SEC Teams consist of 21 student-athletes on the First Team, 22 student-athletes on the Second Team and a 10-member All-Defensive Team. No ties were broken.
