After a sensational performance vs No.1 Texas last weekend, Florida Gators right-handed pitcher Aidan King was named SEC Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. The selection marks King’s third SEC weekly honor this season after earning Freshman of the Week on April 14th and SEC Pitcher of the Week on March 3rd. Monday’s announcement marks Florida’s seventh SEC weekly award as a team this season.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators softball team will host an NCAA Regional for the 19th time at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The team found out their placement as the national No. 3 seed during tonight’s selection show on ESPN2. Joining Florida in the Gainesville Regional will be Florida Atlantic (44-10), Mercer (38-24) and Georgia Tech (27-21). The double-elimination regional starts Friday, May 16 through Sunday, May 18. Florida’s first game of the regional is set for Friday at 4:30 p.m. vs.

After starting 1-11 in SEC play, the Gators have won five consecutive SEC series, improving to 35-18 (13-14 SEC) on the 2025 season. GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kaitlyn Davies connected on the game-winning goal in double overtime to propel No. 4 Florida (19-2, 5-0 Big 12) into the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals, as they took down No. 10 Stanford (15-6, 7-2 ACC) by a score of 13-12 on Sunday afternoon. The goal happened after Gianna Monaco’s free-position shot with 1:44 left in double overtime was fired wide, which was scooped by Frannie Hahn.
