The Indianola boys and girls summer teams are back in Little Hawkeye Conference action tonight, both hosting doubleheaders with Newton. The Indians baseball team is 2-2 in conference action after an impressive win against Dallas Center-Grimes on Wednesday, and have gotten stellar pitching so far on the season with a team ERA of 2.55.

The Indianola City Council met in a work session after their meeting Monday, discussing the City of Indianola Tax Abatement Program. Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson tells KNIA News the city has been working with both residential and commercial developers to bring new properties into the city through Tax Increment Financing, but possible legislation made the council want more information on the program moving forward.
