The Indianola girls golf team placed second overall in the third and final Little Hawkeye Conference meet of the season on Monday, earning a second place overall finish in the conference standings after three meets with 14 points. Indianola carded a 346 today as a squad, with Reese Lucas leading the way with an 84, Camryn Overton with an 85, Alexa Inman with an 88, and Anna Blanchard with an 89. Overton placed third overall over the three meets. Indianola next golfs Thursday at Oskaloosa.

Indianola High School Music Students Compete in State Large Group Contest

A pair of Indianola High School bands competed in the State Large Group Contest from the Iowa High School Music Association on Saturday. The Wind Ensemble received a Division I rating, and the Symphonic Band received a Division II rating. Four choirs were also rated as the contest, with the Indianola Singers, A Capella, and Apollo Chorus all earning a Division I rating, with the Cantare/Bel Canto earning a Division II rating.

The Warren County Conservation StoryWalk is available to all visitors over the course of the summer, set up on the trails around the Annett Nature Center. Naturalist Kelsey Longnecker tells KNIA News StoryWalk is a fun idea to get the community outside and reading, and each month, a new nature-themed children’s story will be placed along trails in different parks.
