As is the case with many late-season track and field meets, this year’s Clint Wells Invitational saw a mix of ongoing growth and reaching goals for Moffat County athletes. MCHS boys placed fifth and girls ninth during Friday’s home meet, which included wins in several events, among them a broken record.

When the final whistle blew on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 22, there was a new and welcome sensation among the members of the Moffat County girls soccer program. Victory. MCHS girls took their first win since 2019 with a dominant 4-0 game against Colorado Rocky Mountain School of Carbondale. Yet with the energy and enthusiasm that local students bring to the show, a setting of six decades ago may as well be today. MCHS will perform the musical “Bye Bye Birdie” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the MCHS auditorium, with a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee as well.
