Home buyers wanting to move into the town will on average spend £531,815 on a property, according to Lloyds Bank.

    The council has made £891,595 from residential parking permits since 2020. The figures came to light through a Freedom of Information (FOI) request. Last year alone the council received £199,865 from parking permits - an 14 per cent rise on the previous year and the highest recorded revenue over the past five years. In 2023, it received £175,930, whilst in 2022 it collected £173,570  and in 2021 a total of £174,770 was received.
