BUFFALO, N.Y. — It’s been three years since Buffalo’s heart was broken when 10 were killed by a racist gunman at Tops on Jefferson Ave. And it’s been three years since the city vowed to never forget. BUFFALO, N.Y. — The pharmaceutical giant Rite Aid announced Monday that it’s pulling out of New York, saying in a letter to employees obtained by 2 On Your Side that it is “continu[ing] to experience financial challenges” and “will cease all operations at [certain] facilities.” It's a move that will close 73 pharmacies across Western New York and 13 in Buffalo after the chain closed eight locations in the area last year.
