Today, Buffalo Common Council members voted on a resolution asking the city's law department to begin drafting legislation that could remove menthol products from store shelves. Advocates say menthol is a tool of racial targeting. According to them, research shows 85% of Black smokers use menthol, compared to 29% of white smokers.
