Hey, I don't want to insult actual robots because, well, you never know who your next boss might be. But, here goes. Robots - some maybe via AI and others in the human bodies of public servants collecting six figures in taxpayer dough - are key players in the slow, but steady, decapitation and mutilation of Connecticut's Freedom of Information law. This is starting to get me concerned.

OLD LYME - For just over an hour the Board of Selectmen walked their way through an uncontroversial agenda of small-town business, unopposed appointments, an update from the Affordable Housing Commission, delinquent car tax collections, the sale of a small boat by the town's fire department... As usual, the meeting ended with a general discussion. Jude Read, the Republican selectwoman, made two motions.
