Two of the transportation technology industry’s biggest names have come together. Bestpass-Fleetworthy Solutions, which helps fleets manage tolls, safety and compliance, has acquired Drivewyze, which provides a weight station bypass system and in-cab driver safety alerts. A 2023 partnership between the two companies that aimed to streamline the customer experience for fleets adopting weigh station bypass and toll management services ultimately led to the deal.

Don't let AI replace the human element

More and more companies are hopping on the AI chatbot bandwagon. You go to their website where thereâ€™s a near-immediate popup with a chat assistant. But itâ€™s not a human behind a computer screen on the other end. Itâ€™s just a chatbot thatâ€™s designed to provide an automated response based on what you input in the chat field. And sometimes it gives you the answer youâ€™re looking for, and sometimes it doesnâ€™t help at all. For me, personally, most of the time, itâ€™s the latter.
