The Ohio father accused of executing his three young sons in front of his wife and daughter appeared in court this week and asked a judge to throw out his statements claiming detectives violated his rights. Prosecutors have said Chad Doerman, 32, made statements last June such as “I did it. Take me to jail” and “I shouldn’t have done that” after he was taken into custody for the shooting deaths of Clayton, 7, Hunter, 4, and Chase, 3.

The family of Rachel Morin, the mother of five murdered on a Maryland running trail last summer, hopes that two new sketches of the suspect will lead to the arrest of her killer. “I can’t live with pain for the rest of my life. I just can’t do that,” said Patty Morin, Rachel Morin’s mother, in a statement. We are praying this sketch will help catch the killer and help us to move forward. We need to find this guy.

Criminal charges could be filed in the deaths of three Kansas City Chiefs fans whose bodies were found at their friend’s home if their deaths were caused by a fatal drug overdose and the drugs can be traced back to a supplier, a retired DEA official said on Wednesday. The bodies of David Harrington, Ricky Johnson, and Clayton McGeeney were discovered in a backyard on Jan. 9.

Lawyers for convicted double murderer Alex Murdaugh say the clerk of court in his murder trial forwarded emails about defense witnesses to prosecutors and talked with jurors about the case during his six-week trial, according to a newly filed brief. Murdaugh is asking for a new trial, claiming Becky Hill tampered with the jury by speaking to them about her belief in their client’s guilt.
