Family members from around the country gathered at the Tucker home in Bellaire to celebrate matriarch Roslyn Unger’s 100th birthday. Loved ones were dressed in red, the birthday girl’s favorite color, to honor Roslyn. She was born in Los Angeles and raised in Miami Beach, Florida where she became the director of the Jewish National Fund (JNF) and met dignitaries like Golda Meir and David Ben-Gurion while on visits to Israel as a JNF spokesperson.

Members of The Emery/Weiner School’s inaugural graduating class, the “Pioneers” of 2005, returned to campus from all over the country for their 20-year reunion. The alumni weekend kicked off with dinner at Escalante’s where guests caught up and reminisced about their Stella Link days, followed by a Sunday brunch on campus. When the Pioneers were students, the Upper School had just merged with I. Weiner Middle School, and the graduating class had 34 members.
