    Wilson County’s property tax rate would remain unchanged if the budget approved by the county’s budget committee on May 28 is approved by the entire county commission on Monday, June 16. A public hearing about the budget is scheduled for June 16 at 6:30 p.m. prior to the full commission meeting. The current county property tax rate is $1.9089 per $100 of assessed value for property throughout the entire county.

    Discovery School students Bentley Bergsten and Boston Barnes work on a robot. About three years ago, the Tennessee Valley Robotics helped seven Murfreesboro City Schools get robots and materials to compete in VEX Robotics Competitions. According to its website, the VEX Robotics competitions are a place for STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) students to further their interest in those topics.
