The 3xTg AD female mice (7 months old, from Jiangsu Ailinfei Biotechnology Co., Ltd) and age-matched C57BL/6J mice (from Zhuhai Baishitong Biotechnology Co., Ltd) were used. All animal experiments were approved by the Ethics Committee of Shantou University Medical College (Approval ID: SUMC2022-597) and conducted in accordance with Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments (ARRIVE) guidelines.

1 Introduction Aging is accompanied by progressively declined motor functions which can be linked to a broad range of neurochemical, structural, and functional changes in the human brain (Seidler et al. 2010). Of particular relevance are aging-related deficits in cortical inhibitory functions, which in turn have been shown to be associated with various aspects of declined motor functions (Levin et al. 2014).
