Rollercoaster temperatures continue, when fall-like weather returns

While this morning will still feel a bit fall-like with temperatures starting out in the low-60s, that changes this afternoon with high temperatures heating back up to the upper 80s. With dew points in the 50s it'll still feel pretty pleasant outside, just hotter than yesterday. The Tri-State will see partly cloudy skies and a light wind throughout the day. Tonight, temperatures drop to a low of 61.

If you thought we started out chilly yesterday morning, you'll definitely want to grab a sweater or light jacket on the way out the door this morning because temperatures are starting out in the low 50s. It's also a bit breezy outside with wind speeds ranging from 5-10 mph. That will continue throughout the day. Plus, we'll continue to see slightly below average temperatures for this time of year with a high of 80. The average temperature for this time of year is about 83.
Gorgeous conditions in store for Labor Day

Temperatures will start out in the low-to-mid-60s today and only rise to a high of 79. Couple that with lower humidity and mostly sunny skies and we're in for pleasant conditions for this Labor Day. It will be a bit breezy though with wind speeds between 5-10 mph throughout the day. The trend of relatively pleasant conditions continues tonight with skies staying clear and temperatures dropping into the low 50s. This sets us up for another nice day tomorrow. We're looking at a high of 80 for Tuesday.

Temperatures are starting out a bit cooler than yesterday in the mid-to-upper-60s and we'll see that trend continue into the afternoon. The high will be 79, but will feel like the low-80s because of the humidity. Scattered rain and storm chances return today, but nothing is expected to be severe. A few showers could pop up this morning, but the better timing is going to be in the afternoon and evening.

We're starting out warm and muggy with lows in the upper 60s. The Tr-State should stay dry this morning, but rain and storm chances return this afternoon between 1 and 3 p.m. They'll continue throughout the afternoon and evening, with a chance for severe weather. Eastern portions of the Tri-State are under a slight risk for severe weather from the Storm Prediction Center, while western portions of the Tri-State are under a marginal risk.

The morning is starting out with some scattered showers across the Tri-State, mainly in our Indiana counties. We'll continue to see a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day before the rain clears out for several days. Temperatures will start out in the upper 60s and low 70s before warming up to a high of 86. Humidity is still a factor so it'll feel more like the low 90s. Overnight, most of the clouds will clear out and temperatures will drop into the upper 60s.

We're starting out the morning with temperatures in the low 70s and a chance of a scattered thunderstorm or two in the northern portions of the Tri-State. The better rain and storm chance comes later in the day between one and six p.m. Models are showing another round of showers and thunderstorms this evening between seven and nine. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a marginal risk of severe weather today. That's a level one out of five and a step down from yesterday's risk.

Temperatures are starting out below average for late July with overnight lows that were in the upper 50s, but we'll quickly warm up to a high of 88 by the afternoon. The Tri-State will stay dry today, though. Plus, with dew points in the 50s, we're not dealing with a lot of humidity. Between Goettafest, the Cincinnati Music Festival and other events going on across the Tri-State today, there are a lot of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the weather.

A few scattered showers are not out of the question for the morning commute, but we're not looking at any widespread impacts. We'll start out with temperatures in the upper 60s, before warming up to a high of 84. A slight chance of rain and storm chances continues throughout the day once again but any precipitation we do get will stay scattered.

CINCINNATI — Animal shelters across the Tri-State said they're at or over capacity and are searching for solutions to get the animals adopted. “This facility is actually only built to house 100 dogs and we have closer to 200 here at any given time," said Abby Moore, the community engagement coordinator for Cincinnati Animal CARE.
