Yachting Ventures has confirmed it will once again partner with the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) to host the second Start-Up Pavilion in Tampa, Florida, following its initial edition in 2024. IBEX will return to the Tampa Convention Center from 7–9 October 2025, under the theme “Fast Forward”. The trade show is a key B2B event for the North American marine industry.

The ICOMIA Diversity Committee has launched a new resource for the recreational boating industry, examining ways to advance gender equality in the sector. The publication — launched during the ICOMIA/IFBSO Congress 2025 in Palma de Mallorca on 27 May — is titled Innovating Inclusion – Supporting Women in the Boating Industry. ICOMIA (the International Council of Marine Industry Associations) is a global organisation that brings together national marine industry associations.

Rolls-Royce Power Systems has appointed Christian Paolini as managing director and sales director of Team Italia Marine, its yacht bridge and automation subsidiary. The news comes after Rolls-Royce acquired Team Italia/Onyx Marine in June 2023. Team Italia Marine, based in Fano on the Adriatic coast, was founded in 2000 and supplies integrated bridge systems primarily for large, often customised, superyachts built in Italy. The company has delivered over 700 bridge solutions.

Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) 2025 has reported record participation and exhibitor engagement during its 36th edition. A total of 824 boats were on display at the marina on Australia’s Gold Coast — 422 on water and 402 on land — representing a nearly 10 per cent increase on the previous year. Warm, sunny weather throughout the weekend helped encourage footfall and a buoyant atmosphere.

SailGP has confirmed the acquisition of the Red Bull Italy SailGP team by a consortium of investors and sports professionals. The group includes Hollywood star Anne Hathaway, alongside Muse Capital founding partner Assia Grazioli-Venier and luxury brand entrepreneur Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo. Sailor Jimmy Spithill takes the role of chief executive officer and co-owner.
