/ Source: TODAYThe conclave, or the process of selecting a new pope, is set to begin on May 7 following the death of Pope Francis last month. More than 100 senior members of the Catholic Church will gather in the Sistine Chapel, taking an oath of secrecy and voting on who will become Francis' successor and the new leader of the church. On the first day of voting, the 133 Cardinals will hold one vote, and either black or white smoke will be released from the chimney of chapel in Rome.
