Live issue: If the Ohio House has its way, voters will stop deciding their county coroners. Lucas Daprile writes that Ohio coroners were shocked by the decision this week by House lawmakers to insert the language into their version of the massive, two-year budget directing county commissioners to appoint a coroner for four-year terms, meaning the end of elections for the positions.
