COLUMBUS, Ohio—State Sen. Casey Weinstein, a Hudson Democrat, says he’s considering a run for U.S. Senate next year – that is, if ex-U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown decides not to enter the race. “It’s something that I’m thinking through and talking through with my family and friends,” said Weinstein in an interview. Weinstein is the first Democrat to publicly indicate an interest in running against U.S. Sen. Jon Husted, a Columbus-area Republican appointed to the seat last January.
