Made up of third-grade players from Wilchester Elementary, Briarwood Elementary, and Sherwood Elementary, the team left it all on the court. With both coaches repping their Texas Tech roots, the Spurs impressed with sharp shooting and tenacious defense.

The West University Softball Association’s annual Opening Day Parade and Carnival brought creativity, excitement, and perfect weather to celebrate the start of the season. Among the 102 teams hitting the field this spring, the 7U WUSA Sandstorm, managed by Bill Zachary and sponsored by Professional Sports Partners, made their debut as one of 16 teams in their division. With bats ready and gloves in hand, Sandstorm players geared up for a fun and competitive season.

We wrapped up Spring Break with an unforgettable weekend at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. The festivities kicked off Friday night with Journey – but little did we know, we’d witness a scene straight out of The Sopranos. After soaking in the rodeo events, the stadium was full of energy as the band took the stage. NRG was packed, and the crowd belted out Journey’s classic hits.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is one of Houston's most anticipated annual events, drawing millions each year. Since its start in 1932, it has grown into a crown jewel of the city’s culture. Volunteers from across the region dedicate their time to this beloved event. This year, the festivities are scheduled from March 4-23. The fun commences with the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest from Feb. 27-March 1 and the Downtown Rodeo Parade and Rodeo Run taking place on March 1.
