    The Special Needs Ministry at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church (MDUMC) hosted its first Game Changers baseball event and game, giving kids with special needs a chance to shine on the diamond. Pictured is Teddy Wilson, who played in the game with friends as his family and fans cheered him on. Nineteen players, ages 4 to 13, were paired with one-on-one buddies and had a full ballpark experience. The kids enjoyed hitting, rounding the bases, and celebrating every play.

    Another incredible season of Challenger Baseball has wrapped up.     The Pin Oak Middle School Charger Cheer Team earned first place and the title of Grand Champion Winners out of all competing teams at the United Cheer’s Beach Blast Competition. The Charger Cheer Team won National Grand Champions and first place in their division at the Cheer America iNationals. The team is composed of both seventh- and eighth-grade students and were led by POMS Dance and Cheer Director Jonahira Cordero.
