Russell Wilson seems to be exciting Jalin Hyatt and Darius Slayton with his penchant for the deep ball. Abdul Carter looks like the real deal. Jaxson Dart has been uneven but Brian Daboll seems excited about his progress.

That season was notable for the New York Giants because they won the Super Bowl, but their draft that year was disappointing and set the stage for their downfall to come.

Set Number: X156867 TK1 R1 F8 You would be rich if you had a dollar for every time a football fan started a sentence with the words, “The New York Giants should have drafted...” given their futility in drafting future stars since their last Super Bowl victory in the 2011 season. The most recent two drafts by GM Joe Schoen have given some hope for the future since both appear at the moment to have been highly successful.

Carter was the consensus No. 3 on most big boards and supposedly one of the few “generational” talents in this draft.

In a way, though, that’s odd because the Giants also brought in veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, who has a Super Bowl ring, almost had another, is a good bet to make the Hall of Fame, and is likely to be the starting QB in Game 1 this year.
