    CATSKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) -Village government has been trying to upgrade Catskill’s water systems for more than five years. After receiving grants from State and Federal partners, it’s finally time to rip up the ground. “We are moving forward with a $25 million sewer project.     VICTORY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Smoke was still rising from what’s left of Victory Mills on Monday evening. Jackson Demolition and the local fire department expect a week of work ahead of them to demolish and secure the abandoned factory. This was the largest structure within Chief Ryan Campbell’s district line. He said when the Victory Mills Fire Department arrived on Saturday afternoon, all five stories of the 280,000 square foot factory were completely involved.

    CANAJOHARIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -Canajoharie Central School District’s 6th grade D.A.R.E. class graduated on Thursday afternoon. Before getting their certificates, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office visited soon-to-be 7th graders in the new D.A.R.E. Camaro. With help from the Sheriff’s Office, students learned about drugs, alcohol, peer pressure, stress and most importantly making choices. The 6th graders wrote essays on what they learned and some of them were read to the entire class.
