After a relatively quiet week, it'll turn wet and stormy across Central Illinois as we head toward Easter. Showers and a few isolated storms are possible today with windy conditions and highs near 70°. It'll be rather breezy Friday with highs in the low-80s ahead of a cold front that'll bring some strong to severe storms Friday evening and Friday night. Moderate to heavy rain, with thunderstorms, is expected Easter weekend with highs in the low-to-mid-60s.

Sunshine returns for a couple of days before it turns unsettled and wet across Central Illinois. After breezy highs around 60° today, it'll drop into the 30s tonight and frost is likely. We'll warm to the upper-60s Wednesday with more sunshine and be near 70° Thursday with scattered showers. Rain chances increase Friday into Easter weekend. Strong to severe storms are possible Friday evening and the weekend rain could be on the heavier side. Easter weekend highs will top out well into the 60s.
