The Indianapolis Colts are seeking a third consecutive win. Indianapolis was 0-2 to begin the season after defeats against the Texans and Packers. The Colts rebounded with a 21-16 home win against the Bears and issued a narrow 27-24 home win against the Steelers last week in a clash that had the Colts marked as 2.5-point dogs. The Colts have covered in three of four games.
Anthony Richardson was injured in the win last week.

On Monday, October 2nd, Colts All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor will be eligible to return off the Physically Unable to Perform list…but will he return? Since Training Camp, ESPN’s Stephen Holder has been all over the Taylor saga. He went from attending practices in Colts gear, to not being seen around practices or on the sidelines during games. In fact, Taylor has not been seen at a game since the Philadelphia Eagles preseason game.

No one really expected quarterback Gardner Minshew to be a long-term member of the Colts when he signed here in the offseason. The belief was that he would serve as a bridge quarterback and mentor to whomever the Colts drafted, that of course being Anthony Richardson. At most, he would play a few games as Richardson learned (or if he became injured, as ended up being the case), before leveraging that into an opportunity to compete for a starting job somewhere else next season.

COLLEGE PARK, MD.–The Indiana Hoosier football team (2-2) beat Akron on Saturday 29-27 in four overtimes, but the coaching staff and players have both said publicly that they know they must play better since Big Ten play for them begins this Saturday against the Maryland Terrapins. Maryland is 4-0 and has beaten Indiana two straight times in the series. The most recent was last season when Indiana fell behind by 11 points and rallied but fell short 38-33.

GREENWOOD, Ind.–A 16-court pickleball facility is coming to Freedom Park in Greenwood. Greenwood Mayor Mark Myers says this would make it the largest pickleball complex in Johnson County. “Over the course of the next year, we are expanding our outdoor facility offerings with this complex and the Greenwood Sports Park coming to fruition. Both facilities are a direct response to the increased demand from residents.

For the first few years of Michael Pittman Jr’s career, there have been questions over his status as the WR1 for the Colts. No one questions his talent, or his drive, but either due to his rotating cast of quarterbacks, scheme, or some other factor, many remained doubtful that he could truly be “the guy”. A talented player, potentially even a WR1-B, sure, but beyond that, there were doubts.
