FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. - A Deltona man was taken into custody after speeding away from a traffic stop over the weekend, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office. In a release, the sheriff's office said the incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, when deputies patrolling East Moody Boulevard in Bunnell spotted a car that didn't stop at a stop sign before turning out of a Circle K gas station.

ORLANDO, Fla. - On Monday, the Florida Lottery announced the winner of a $1 million prize from the FLORIDA 300X THE CASH scratch-off game. In a release, lottery officials said that the winner - Johnnie Pleicones, 61, of Orlando - claimed the prize from the Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, opting for the lump-sum payment of $695,500. The release shows that Pleicones had bought the winning ticket from ITIG Quick Mart, located at 7105 S. Orange Ave.
