Martin Zubimendi has verbally agreed personal terms with Arsenal on a long-term deal, talkSPORT understands. Zubimendi has also told Real Sociedad of his intention to join the Gunners once his £50m release clause is triggered. Liverpool did not revisit their interest after Zubimendi performed a U-turn on moving to Anfield last summer. talkSPORT reported in January that a deal was on the cards for the north Londoners. Mikel Arteta's side at that point were at an advanced stage in their talks.

West Ham star Lucas Paqueta was so frustrated by his yellow card against Tottenham he was moved to tears. The Brazilian midfielder was booked after appearing to cut down rival Mikey Moore in the centre of the pitch. His sliding challenge grazed the Spurs youngster, who looked like he'd overrun the ball. However, referee Michael Oliver determined the tackle was worth a yellow card.
