The blowback was always going to be huge. Either Mary Earps has made a selfish decision based on a demotion or is bowing out at the top of her game. It was always going to be polarising. Unfortunately for Earps, it's clear Sarina Wiegman sees it more as the former than the latter. Wiegman admitted in her brief statement that she's disappointed with the PSG goalkeeper's choice. It's not just the results and trophies that separate the back-to-back European champions from the rest of the pack, it's the style in which they dismantle teams. World stars like Aitana Bonmati and Alexia Putellas are humble in front of the microphone and fans but have an intangible aura that makes opponents fear them before a ball is kicked.

The two sides meet in the FA Cup Final at Wembley on Sunday, with United hoping to end Chelsea's chances of not only winning the treble, but also going undefeated in the process. European football and another final - are Man Utd a success?
