Uma criança de 4 anos morreu, nesta quinta-feira (22), após ser picada por uma cobra cascavel, na cidade de Equador, na região do Seridó potiguar. A vítima foi identificada como Ítalo Alves dos Santos. A picada aconteceu na quarta-feira (21), enquanto o menino brincava na casa da avó com uma prima. Segundo a família, Ítalo tinha Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) e não falava, o que dificultou a comunicação sobre o que tinha acontecido.

A combination of various adverse shocks has contributed to productivity growth being suppressed in the euro area over the last four years. The pandemic, along with disruptions in global supply chains and the energy price increases from 2021, which were aggravated by the Russian war in Ukraine, have all contributed to the slowdown in productivity growth.

Real GDP growth has been notably weaker in the euro area than in the United States since the start of the pandemic. Between the fourth quarter of 2019 and the fourth quarter of 2023, the euro area economy grew by around 3% in cumulative terms, while real GDP in the United States rose by more than 8% (Chart A), resulting in a cumulative growth differential of around 5 percentage points.
