Operação combate roubo de fios na região Oeste Somente nos últimos seis meses, foram registradas 29 ocorrências desse tipo na região, segundo a Polícia Civil. O prejuízo estimado é de R$ 700 mil. Durante a Operação Filamento, foram cumpridos 14 mandados de busca e apreensão em cinco municípios: Mossoró, Assu, Tibau, Areia Branca e Serra do Mel. Em Assu, uma pessoa foi autuada em flagrante pelo crime de receptação, ao ser encontrada com produtos roubados.
