By Anusha Ganapathi Regardless, what he has left you is an addictive puzzle to solve. Your end goal is constantly in view - the antechamber is ever present on the map. And knowing that you just need another parlour, another gemstone, another key card, or access to a secret garden - to get in there, is just so tantalising and wonderful. I think this is how my cat feels when I hold a treat out for him, and keep it just, ever so slightly, out of reach.

I’ve lost count of all the RPGs that start with the lead character slowly regaining their senses, having been washed ashore after surviving a shipwreck. I’ve often wondered what it would be like to go on a very long road trip — those trips where you need to take an entire month off work, all responsibilities, and the comfort of home. I would meet new people, explore new terrains, watch sunrises and sunsets, and the stars in clear skies. And maybe… discover myself? It all sounded to me like a wonderful adventure.
