DiscussionThis paper represents an example of pre-engagement. As we prepared to do a research project in partnership with an Indigenous community that would support the first author’s master’s thesis, but due to extenuating circumstances, we had to cease our partnership temporarily. However, although we could not continue our partnership, we continued with the pre-engagement work and literature review for the same project.
