Charity sends trees to troops

Ten days, 51 pick-up locations, 26 states and 16,252 Christmas trees. Over the past 20 years, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundations Trees for Troops (T4T) program has provided 94 military bases across the U.S. a little extra joy during the holiday season. A group called the National Christmas Tree Association decided they wanted to create a new charitable group with a singular mission, to promote Christmas spirit, back in 2005 – that’s where the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation was born.

Joe Gow and his wife Carmen Wilson walked into a Best Buy in La Crosse, Wisconsin. They were going to buy their first camcorder. A clerk stood behind the help desk wearing a blue Best Buy polo. “We need a camcorder,” Gow said nonchalantly. The clerk turned to look at Wilson. “Well, what are you going to shoot with this?” the clerk asked. “Sports?”“Yeah, like that,” Wilson said. Really, the couple was about to embark on a new passion project: producing porn together. Now, Gow sits at his kitchen table.

Americans are waiting with bated breath as the 2024 presidential election looms closer and closer. We are about to witness history being made. In the 2020 presidential election, there was record high turnout at the poles and Biden’s success was attributed to Gen Z. We need to keep that energy going to get Vice President Kamala Harris elected on Tuesday. However, the crisis in Gaza is turning many young voters away from the poles. Oshkosh police respond to Walmart bomb threat

The Oshkosh Police Department responded to a bomb threat at Walmart located at 351 S. Washburn St. in Oshkosh at 6:25 p.m. Sept. 8. According to an OPD press release, as soon as the store received the bomb threat, Walmart immediately evacuated staff and customers. OPD officers assisted the staff with shutting down entrances and evacuating the store.
