Adani — now operating as Bravus in Australia — first sued campaigner Ben Pennings in 2020. The mining company claimed Mr Penning had continually demanded its contractors terminate or withdraw from negotiations to disrupt operations at its Carmichael coal mine in central Queensland.

    There were emotional scenes at Brisbane Airport this morning as another repatriation flight from Lebanon touched down amid the conflict in the Middle East. "The uncertainty of what is happening in Lebanon is upsetting all of us," Rima Boumansour said through tears as she arrived in Brisbane. She was among 272 people on board the charter flight which connected from Cyprus and landed at Brisbane Airport about 4am AEST Wednesday.
