A 34-year-old woman has been charged with torture, accused of giving a baby girl unauthorised medicine and posting photos of her in "immense distress and pain" to elicit donations. The Sunshine Coast woman was arrested at Underwood, in Brisbane's south, on Thursday and charged with administering poison with intent to harm, making child exploitation material and fraud. She was also charged with preparation to commit crimes with dangerous things.

A supermarket worker who was allegedly stabbed by a 13-year-old boy in what police say was a "random" attack is now in a stable condition, as detectives try to piece together the teenager's movements before the incident. Claudia Campomayor Watt, 63, was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after she was attacked while working at Coles at Yamanto Central Shopping Centre in Ipswich, west of Brisbane, on Monday.
