TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - A former Lindale daycare worker accused of assaulting six young children 134 times over several months made an appearance in court on Monday. Catherine Guziejka, 45, of Lindale, is charged with six counts of injury to a child. According to an arrest affidavit, she was caught in security footage kicking toddlers in her care in over 100 incidents dating back to July of 2024.

LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Longview police and firemen participated in a pet safety event on Monday, giving advice for managing situations as common as summer heat and as dire as a house fire. “It’s very important that any pet owner has the tools at hand if they’re ever in a situation like a house fire that requires them to care for the safety of their pets,” Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center staff said.

LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Students at a Longview elementary school were ecstatic to receive a response from the mayor of Baltimore after sending in designs for a replacement bridge. A second grade class at Bailey Elementary had already been learning about engineering and construction when the tragic bridge collapse happened in Baltimore in March.

LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Good Shepherd in Longview held a day of appreciation Tuesday for their therapy animals. According to associate chief nursing officer Brandi Morris, the animals are invaluable to patients at Good Shepherd, bringing relief that therapists could not otherwise provide. TYLER STATE PARK, Texas (KLTV) - Thirty-one Texas State Parks were in the path of totality today, six of them in East Texas. One of those six was Tyler State Park in northern Smith County. For months it was a sold out destination, and though skies were cloudy for the morning, as totality approached, the clouds began to break as stargazers gathered. People from across the country came to East Texas, our home, to witness this moment. For those who traveled far, the journey was worth it.
