Affordable French dishes by a Michelin-starred chef? What a dream. When it comes to date night, I personally prefer dinner and drinks at a romantic restaurant. Almost every restaurant in the Dempsey enclave is high on my must-visit list, but none of them compares to Claudine. Who can say no to French fare served within an old chapel? Violet Oon Singapore has taken its first momentous step, opening the brand’s first standalone restaurant within the lush Dempsey enclave. When Black Mirror season 7 was released over the weekend, you best believe I binge-watched the whole thing without missing a beat. Whoever said fishes are boring might be right. But I believe boring is subjective. My dad (being a dad) kept a silver arrowana at home, and some core childhood memories involved watching it swim and eat. Yes, boring but it was peaceful. Now, I’m considering setting up a little underwater world of my own – and before diving in, I’ve been doing my homework. Lots of research, plus tapping into my dad’s experience, to make sure I get things right from the start.
